Unrecognized in the Negev

This one appeared on the Ecologist and Counterpunch and talks of my upcoming documentary now titled ‘Empty Desert’. The film looks at the unfolding conflict between the state of Israel and the Bedouin minority in the Negev. I am making the film with Linda Paganelli and Esplorare la Metropoli.

Negev Bedouin face demolitions

I shot this photo series for AJE and with the help of the local NGO Negev Coexistence Forum. I visited a number of unrecognized and recognized Bedouin localities in the Negev, Israel, to meet some of the families affected by home demolitions and demolition orders.
